Black Stars technical team
Ghanaian football legend Mohammed Polo has asked Kwesi Appiah and other members of the Black Stars technical team to resign after failing in AFCON in 2019.
Ghana were eliminated from the competition after losing 5-4 on penalties to Tunisia in the round of 16 after playing a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.
The last 16 expulsions are the worst performance of the country in the mainland since 2006.
Speaking on Happy FM, the former gaffer of Hearts of Oak argued that the team's performance in Egypt is the worst in the history of the senior national team .
"Although Ghana did not perform very well in 1984, this year's Black Stars performance in the CAN is the team's worst performance to date. They had the opportunity to win the trophy but they failed. "
"The technical team must know that they have unfortunately failed Ghanaians and that they should therefore resign honorably."
