Black stars of Ghana
The senior national team, the Black Stars, would begin non-residential camping starting Monday, May 27, in anticipation of the 2019 African Nations Cup (AFCON), which will be held in Egypt.
Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates that non-residential camping would end in early June to pave the way for intensive camping outside of Ghana.
Coach Akwasi Appiah and his team are scheduled to camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), to refine their preparations for the competition.
Before the competition, Ghana should face three African countries in a friendly match, to evaluate the team as the four-time CAN champions vie for a fifth title.
The Black Stars will be based in Ismailia, where they will play two games and move to Suez for their last group match.
Ghana is paired with defending champions Cameroon, Benin and Guinea-Bissau in Group F for the three-week tournament.
