The bride finds a secret message from the late mother on wedding shoes

A bride was shocked to discover a secret message engraved on the sole of her wedding shoes, written by her mother before her pbading.

In December 2016, Emma Letts, of Kibworth Beauchamp in Leicestershire, was engaged to her fiancé Richard Wilson.

But barely a month later, she learned that her mother had been diagnosed with lung cancer and that she had only one or two years left to live.

Mrs Letts' mother died in 2017 before having the chance to see her daughter walk in the alley.

Unbeknownst to the bride, however, the elder had arranged a surprise with the help of the wedding shoe designer of Mrs. Letts, Lace and Love.

On Saturday, March 9, Ms. Letts, whose wedding is scheduled to take place in August of this year, received his stubs by mail.

While she was inspecting them, she noticed the message that her mother was responsible for having it engraved on it, with Amanda Weise's help from Lace and Love.

"I wanted you to receive a gift from me on your wedding day, and your wedding shoes are my gift for you," reads the message.

"I hope you have a magical day.Many, a lot of love and big cuddles, MUM badx."

Ms. Letts explained that there had been "a lot of tears" when planning her marriage without her mother, and that getting the message on the shoes was an "absolute shock".

"I started crying … I was quite broken in. I could not breathe, I could not talk," she said to the BBC.

"I think nothing could have prepared me for the answer they would get," Ms. Weise said. "It's the perfect illustration of how a personalized service like mine can be so important to people."

She added that she had received messages of goodwill from people around the world.

"The reaction to the shoes has been sensational, I am honestly so shocked and amazed by the number of people that history has reached," she said.
