BUI DAM2 EPS generated 460 gigawatts of energy for the second quarter of 2019

The Bui Power Authority (BPA) needs US $ 4.6 million to perform routine maintenance on its power plants to produce energy efficiently after almost five years of operation.

Engineering work should be completed within three months on the three units of the plant currently in operation.

Only one of the three units was closed for maintenance work, the other two having not yet undergone a similar exercise.

Ebo Asamoah, factory manager of the Bui Power Authority, said in an interview with Clbad Business at the end of a guided tour in the media that the amount is urgent but that its production of electricity will not be affected.

"In about a month or two, we should be able to finish the first unit and move on to the second unit," Asamoah said.

He said the exercise was to inspect, clean and replace damaged or worn parts and that "we need money to complete the three units".

EPS generated 460 gigawatts of energy for the second quarter of 2019 on a target of nearly 6,550 gigawatts for the year.
