The Arizona Cardinals chose Kyler Murray with the first overall pick of the NFL draft on Thursday night.
This decision was widely expected in the weeks leading up to the draft, but had been questioned over the past few hours as rumors of a possible wild card deal began to spread around the NFL world.

They were all for nothing. The Cardinals head coach, Kliff Kingsbury, in his freshman year, said while he was still coaching at Texas Tech, that he had the overall pick in the repechage he would choose Murray. Thursday, he kept his word.
With the Cardinals' selection of Murray, that leaves them with another contract to trade against second-year quarterback Josh Rosen, for whom Arizona was traded in last year's draft.
Although Rosen is still a young hopeful, moving it might be harder than expected, as his interest in the former UCLA quarterback would have apparently not been overwhelming.

For now, the Arizona Cardinals have two young quarterbacks, but in the future, there is no doubt that Murray will be the face of the franchise.
