BRITISH Airways pbadengers relaxed their anger after the airline had system problems, causing "ridiculous" queues in Heathrow and Gatwick.
Customers have complained of significant delays and lack of staff to deal with the problems of the country's two largest airports.
Some travelers also stated that BA's website did not allow them to book additional baggage online.
A pbadenger waiting for a BA flight to Canada at Heathrow told Sun Online: "It's absolute chaos.
"All the computers are down, even the backup computers.
"No one can do automatic baggage dumping, so everyone has to line up in one area.
"We were told that our flight was delayed for at least an hour at least – everyone is unhappy."
A Heathrow Terminal 5 traveler tweeted pictures of long queues, explaining that some pbadengers were urging the airline to "restart its system".
He wrote: "The computer systems for check-in and baggage check at @HeathrowAirport # T5 are down, very long queues are forming and delays are expected.
This is absolute chaos. All computers are down – even standby computers
"The most minor is that I was invited to join the shortest queue in the first clbad registration area. #NotFlyingOnFirst.
"The people in the queue are now" experts "who are telling the staff @British_Airways what they must do to" restart the system ", how to manage an airport and what they do not have the necessary skills. "
Adam, a client, said that he was having problems with the BA website.
He tweeted: "@British_Airways is trying to buy extra baggage online and it only leaves me for one leg of my trip, because it says" excess baggage can not be purchased for this trip ".
Another dissatisfied customer wrote: "@British_Airways A farce in Gatwick, the baggage drop system is down, but there is not enough staff to cope with the manual check in. Do something."
A spokeswoman for BA said that the company's systems were operating "a little slower than usual" and that flight times had not been affected.
She said, "We apologized to customers who are experiencing delays in registering today, because of the slow pace of our system that usually occurs.
"Our flights leave as usual and our staff works hard to help the customers."
