The chief’s linguist shot dead during a robbery operation

The linguist of the head of the Abease traditional council was shot dead in a robbery on the Prang road in the Pru West district of the Bono East region.

The deceased has been identified as Kofi Yeboah, who is also a teacher at Abease Presbyterian Junior High School.

The incident reportedly occurred at around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, as the deceased returned from a run in Komfuokrom.

He allegedly hit the motorcycle thieves.

The thieves, according to reports, ordered Mr. Yeboah to stop, but he drove a few miles because he couldn’t stop instantly.

It appeared to the thieves as an escape attempt, so they shot in his tears, killing him instantly.

A commuter, who also came to meet with the operation, said the thieves took the motorcycle he was riding with a friend.

“They threatened to kill us if we didn’t stop and I saw someone lying dead on the road but I couldn’t recognize the face,” he said. Adom News.

After managing to escape unscathed, he set off an alarm to attract the attention of a patrol team.

However, the thieves fled before the police arrived. The commuter said they then identified the body by the roadside as that of the linguist.
