The child's play plays Mark Hamill as Chucky

The news was revealed at the children's WonderCon play panel, via a pre-recorded video of Hamill, in which he spoke of his enthusiasm for the idea of ​​taking the psychopathic toy. The cast was even news for the other cast members of the film, who had been announced that he had joined the project just before going on stage. Aubrey Plaza, who starred in the film, joked that she would have wanted that to happen by killing Chucky with a lightsaber during filming.

As for Hamill's role in Child & # 39; s Play, he is still recording a dialogue, said producer Seth Grahame-Smith. "Having an icon that reinvents a character is an amazing gift," said the producer.
