Accra, April 2, GNA –
The Ghana Board of Nursing and Midwifery (NMC) has announced that the
results approved by its 14th Board of Directors of the candidates who sat for the
January 2019, Post-RN Nursing Online Licentiate Examination, was
released.
Candidates are
therefore asked to visit the regional offices of the Council from Wednesday
April 3, 2019, to obtain a result by checking the scratch card at the rate of
GHC10.00, to access their results online.
A statement issued by
the NMC in Accra said that 250 candidates have registered for the online license
Examination, but six were absent, and out of the total number of people who sat, 94 for
past hundred.
He said the number of
candidates from the various post-graduate training schools who have served on the
examination including 68 critical care, 59 ophthalmic, 75 perioperative,
and 48 public health nurses, respectively.
Mr Felix Nyante, the
Registrar of the Board of Nurses and Midwives, said those who were
failing the online licensing exam would however be required to
join the next group of candidates for reselection in July 2019.
He indicated that the
development of an online verification system for the first time in the history of
Council, was part of the government's digitization program, which would
allow nursing and midwifery candidates to take certification examinations
check their results using the Council's web portal.
Online results
verification, he explained, was part of the licensing review project
NICHE 261, which was launched in 2016 by the Council jointly with a
consortium consisting of CINOP Global Advisory Services and Kwame Nkrumah
University of Science and Technology.
Mr. Nyante said this
was to strengthen the Council's ability to conduct credible investigations
using advanced solutions of information and communication technology,
and in support of the project, NUFFIC, through the Embbady of
Kingdom of the Netherlands has provided financial badistance.
He indicated that
candidates with scratch cards could access the CNG website
http://nmc.gov.gh or http://nmcgh.org, to fill out an online registration form,
Submit and print a copy for approved persons as directed.
Candidates would also be
be required to pay approved registration fees in all branches of the Republic
Bank or buy a bank draft in places without the specified bank and then
proceed to the regional offices to submit the completed and approved form together
with the payment slip.
Mr. Nyante said
candidates can check their results up to five times using the same
scratch card after which they had to buy new ones they still wanted
enjoy the same benefits if you wish to continue.
