In Utah, a gun rights activist may keep his reserve, at least for the moment, as he advocates the Trump government's ban on semi-automatic weapons such as submachine guns.

The temporary suspension pronounced Thursday by the Court of Appeal of the 10th American circuit concerns only Clark Aposhian.

In January, he brought an action against the ban, claiming that it was unconstitutional to reclbadify the devices to make them illegal under federal laws prohibiting machine guns.

The regulation gives gun owners until next week to surrender or destroy devices.
