The creator of "Jane the Virgin" sees tears, a closing for the end of the show

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) – The last season of "Jane the Virgin" is already drawing tears.

The CW series creator, Jennie Snyder Urman, said she was crying in the editing room while she was working on the latest episodes of the show starring Gina Rodriguez.

The producer and actress became emotional when discussing comedy drama at Telenovela on Thursday with television critics.

As for the last episode, Urman said that she intended to provide "a real sense of closure". She said that she felt obliged to say goodbye in the right way and that she wanted to "stick the landing".

The fifth season of "Jane the Virgin" begins on March 27 and ends this summer. A final date has not been announced yet.
