Rapper M.anifest has criticized part of the Ghanaian press for his attempts to badociate Nigerians with crimes committed in Ghana to promote a xenophobic program.
Kwame Ametepe Tsikata, the rapper better known as Mr.anifest, went on his Twitter page on June 13, 2019 to denounce what he calls "irresponsible" actions of the Ghanaian media that tend to to accentuate crimes involving Nigerians in Ghana.
Mr.anifest spoke after security agents found two Canadian girls abducted in Kumasi.
Authorities revealed that the crew that had planned and executed the kidnapping had involved four Nigerians. And it seems that many Ghanaians seem to follow this angle.

M.anifest wrote: "It is irresponsible for the Ghanaian media to point the finger at Nigerians about crime in Ghana, even when Ghanaians are also involved.
The crime does not have a nationality. We want "other" people who look like us. Complain when it happens to us abroad. DO BETTER."
In the social sciences, the idea of "others" is an attempt to define identity with the sole attempt to exclude those who are unsure of the qualities required.
Usually, when the other takes place, those who are "other" are also minority and vulnerable.

Award-winning Manifest is known for his stance on social and political issues, particularly through his music.
He has also been a guest lecturer at Ashesi University, one of Ghana's best-known higher education institutions.
