Daughters of Glorious Jesus
It's been 30 years since music inspired the soul and the Glorious Daughters of Jesus are hoping to commemorate their birthday with a number of activities this year.
At a press briefing held Wednesday at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra, the trio announced the organization of a gala dinner for the launch of the 3 Girls Foundation – a nongovernmental organization that seeks to help the less privileged of society.
A tour of Europe is also planned for May and June. It will be followed by a tour to the US in June and July, as well as regional tours in November and December.
The group, which has 12 albums to its credit, then announced the holding of a tribute concert that would aim to give the musicians who take inspiration from the platform for the representation of their songs.
In addition to the above, the group would engage in a sanitation campaign to make everyone understand the need to keep the environment clean, because cleanliness is close to piety.
Not only that. There will also be a symposium following which the anniversary will be crowned with a concert entitled "Glorious 30 Concert" in Accra and Kumasi in December.
In the meantime, a social media challenge should be activated soon. Lovers of glorious Jesus girls who wish to participate will have to record videos of themselves singing their favorite song and the # glorious30 hashtag of glorious Daughters of Jesus on all their social media platforms.
According to Andy Favored, group leader, the winners of the challenge would have the opportunity to dine with the trio as well as tour and perform with them at some shows.
