He has been playing Wolverine for 18 years, but Hugh Jackman was not the first choice for the role in the first X-Men movie.
In Wednesday's Hollywood podcast, Hugh said he got the job after the Scottish actor Dougray Scott was forced to pull out due to his commitments in filming Mission Impossible: 2.
Before the filming of X-Men began, Hugh met Dougray, 53, at the opening of the Fox Studios in Sydney, which provoked a delicate moment for both.

Dougray later revealed that he had refused Wolverine's role three times because he "did not want to do it".
He finally accepted the position, but as the filming of Mission Impossible: 2 exceeded his schedule, it was awarded to Hugh.
Hugh recently promised that the character of Wolverine would return to the big screen.
He told US host Willie Geist, "Oh, Wolverine will be back. Someone will buy it, I do not know.
Hugh put Wolverine's claws for the first time in the original X-Men movie, released in 2000.
