The descendants of Cameron Boyce died at 20 years

Cameron Boyce, star of Disney's descendants, died at age 20, confirmed his family.

The actor died as a result of a 'medical condition in progress', the news being confirmed Saturday night.

"It is with a deep heart that we report that we lost Cameron this morning," a spokesman told ABC News in the United States.

"He died in his sleep as a result of a seizure resulting from a pathological condition for which he was being treated.

"The world is now without a doubt without one of its brightest lights, but its spirit will live through the kindness and compbadion of all who knew and loved it.

"We are heartbroken and ask for confidentiality in this extremely difficult time as we mourn the loss of our precious son and brother."

The actor gained fame as Luke Ross in Disney's Jessie, before becoming a household name for many descendants like Carlos – the son of the legendary villain Cruella de Vil.

He then starred in the comedy Grown Ups where he played the son of Adam Sandler's character, Leonard Feder, Keithie. He then played in the sequel, Grown Ups 2.

At the time of his death, Cameron had a series of projects in preparation, including the third TV movie Descendants, Runt and his pilot, Mrs. Fletcher.

Disney has since issued a statement following his tragic death.

"Cameron Boyce dreamed from an early age of sharing his extraordinary artistic talents with the world. As a young man, his humanitarian work motivates him deeply to make a difference in people's lives, "said a spokesman for Disney Channel.

"He was an incredibly talented performer, a remarkably caring and considerate person and, above all, a loving, dedicated son, a brother, a grandson and a loving friend.

"We offer our sincerest condolences to his family, his team mates and his colleagues and join the millions of fans who regret him for his untimely death. We will miss him a lot.
