A toxic substance was found on the sick bed
The budget officer of the South Assin District Assembly, Mr Baiden, reportedly committed suicide on Thursday morning.
According to the DCE of the region, Derrick Owusu Ambrose, the deceased has not been well for three days, but we do not know what prompted him to drink toxic substance (DDT) to commit suicide.
South Assin District Police Commander, DSP Andam Okyere, who confirmed the incident at Agoo FM, said the police had found Mr. Baiden's dead body on his bed with the foam on the mouth.
He added that since then the police had taken the substance that had been found near his bed as an exhibit.
The body was transferred to the morgue while investigations are ongoing.
