BEIJING (Reuters) – Nissan Motor's Chinese joint venture with Dongfeng has made no changes to China's medium-term sales plan, a spokeswoman for the group said on Wednesday that it has cut back sales goal.

"Dongfeng Motor Company Limited has not changed its medium-term plan for China. We will study the possibility of modifying the plan according to the future market situation, "said the spokesperson.

Dongfeng Motor Company Limited is the joint venture between Nissan and Dongfeng in China.

Bloomberg announced on Wednesday that the joint venture had reduced its car sales target in China by around 8 percent by 2022, citing unnamed sources.

Reuters announced last year that the Japanese automaker was planning to invest 60 billion yuan ($ 9.5 billion) in China over the next five years with its partner in a joint venture, in order to become the largest One of the top three automakers on the world's largest market.
