Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists (PRO) public relations officer, Dr Dennis Adu Gyasi, has warned conspirators who speak badly about the vaccine discovered to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.
According to him, the myth and the deliberate attempt by some people to instill fear in Ghanaians that the Covid-19 vaccine causes erectyl dysfunction and also aims to wipe the black race out of the world is not true.
“There is a deliberate conspiracy out there to speak ill of vaccines to scare people into taking them. If we don’t rebuke such a conspiracy and encourage Ghanaians to get vaccinated, it won’t help us all. We must all advocate for this in order to be able to resume a normal life ”, he warns.
Talk on Ok FM’s “Ade Akye Abia” Morning Show, Dr Adu Gyasi indicated that the effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccine is beyond doubt as they have been tried and tested using scientific standards and ethical approval processes accepted by the world whole.
He added that vaccines that meet scientific standards and ethical approval processes have 95% efficacy which can help prevent any viral attack; thus, Covid-19 vaccines have gone through various stages of acceptance by the world to function effectively.
“The effectiveness of vaccines has been experimental through the different phases to know the effect of vaccines on people. We have done this for all vaccines found in the past in the world. . . we have seen that the efficacy of the vaccine is around 95% ”, he indicated.
