The end-of-season flu wave is making a comeback in British Columbia.

The British Columbia Center for Disease Control reported a 50% increase in influenza cases in the first weeks of March.

Want to talk and talk despite the warm weather? You are not alone.

The BC Center for Disease Control says BC is in the middle of an influenza crisis late in the season.

In the latest data released Friday, which provides weekly surveillance of influenza, there was a 50% jump in the first few weeks of March.

The agency said most cases involved the most prevalent influenza A, including the H1N1 and H3N2 strains.

The increase follows a steady decrease in the number of influenza reported in January and February. This influenza season peaked from late December to early January.
