They shared a child together
Former rugby player George Kay would have died at the age of 39. George was married to the Atomic Kitten singer, Kerry Katona from 2014 to 2017, and they shared a daughter, Dylan-Jorge, born in April 2014.
It is reported that George was pronounced dead on his arrival at the hospital yesterday (Saturday, July 7). No official cause of death has been published.
According to The Mirror, sources have revealed that Kerry, a mother of five, is "heartbroken." The source revealed: "Kerry learned this afternoon that George had suffered an overdose and was taken to the hospital, but was declared dead upon his arrival," said a family friend. "No one knows what he's overdosed, either intentionally or accidentally, Kerry's heartbroken, he's the DJ's father and she loved him once."
The former rugby league player and porter began dating Kerry in 2012 after being his driver and goalkeeper. At the time, Kerry's friends worried about what he had just been released under license, after six years in prison for blackmail
George and Kerry were lovers of childhood. They met for the first time at Padgate High School in Warrington before meeting in their thirties. Their daughter Dylan Jorge, DJ, was born on April 4, 2014. Kerry has four other children, Molly, Lilly-Sue, Heidi and Max.
The couple separated in 2015 but then renewed their wedding vows in 2016 before divorcing in 2017.
