The family of Elliot Brighton Moyo, who was reportedly resurrected in February by Pastor Alph Lukau, is open about the circumstances of his death.

The family of "resurrected man" claims that he died of a painful and mysterious death at his stepfather's home in Zimbabwe.

According to his relatives, Moyo (whose real name is Thabiso Proud Mlanje) would have bled from his nose and mouth before dying. IOL reported that his family thought he had contracted food poisoning, but they also revealed that the circumstances surrounding his death were strange.

Emily, the grandmother of Moyo, told B-Metro One tabloid wished that it be explained to South Africa:

Emily also revealed that her grandson had vomited blood before her death. His brother, Stanley Mlanje, said he had so many questions to ask his brother when he returned home about the "resurrection," but he could see that his brother was not doing well and was so decided to put it on hold. He said:

"I had so many questions to ask him about this resurrection story, but I could not, because when I talked to him, he was not doing so well, so I thought I'd ask him when he would be better. "
