Wasihu Idrisu Ndc The late Abdul Wasihu Iddrisu

The National Democratic Opposition Congress (NDC) has lost a number of fervent supporters of the Asawase constituency, which is the party's stronghold in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region.

Members of the family of Abdul Wasihu Iddrisu, member of the Ashanti NDC regional task force, recently shot by a member of another NDC self-defense group called the Hawks, have resigned en bloc from the party.

A family member known as Mother, who spoke on behalf of the injured family on Nhyira FM, a Kumasi-based radio station, said the entire family had been loyal to the NDC for many years but was always victim of the party.

"The problem is that the NDC and its leaders have turned their back on us after the loss of Wasihu, a promising young future," she said.

"We learned essential lessons from the way the NDC neglected us after Wasihu's death. So we decided to leave the party definitively.

"The NDC is not a party for which we lost our lives. So we decided to leave him and nothing would make us cancel our decision, "Mother said angrily.

"The family understood that the NDC was not a political party, which is worth dying for us, hence our decision to suspend it once and for all."

She revealed that Wasihu was the second person in the family who died recently because of her involvement in the NDC.

According to her, Wasihu's mother collapsed and died in the presidential campaign of former President John Dramani Mahama at the Kumasi Central Mosque last year.

2020 Campaign

According to his mother, Wasihu's family members would campaign vigorously against the NDC in the 2020 general election.

According to her, her family would ensure that the NDC lost many votes in the Asawase constituency, stating, "The NDC should forget about Asawase in 2020 because we will campaign against them and this would affect their overall performance in the polls. .

"They can not take our family for a ride; we will ensure that the NDC suffers in the next national elections of 2020, "she said.
