Coronation Street the fans were devastated tonight [March 20] when the person who died in the collapse of the Underworld factory was revealed.
Late last year, Coronation Street Showrunner Iain MacLeod has confirmed that a loved Weatherfield resident would be dying after the roof collapse of the factory.

The wedding day of Kate and Rana followed, Kate becoming more and more worried that Rana did not come. She called Imran, who was looking for her sister when he noticed the dust cloud of the factory.
He rushed to the scene to find out what had happened – and was badured that his sister was not in the building. He reminded Kate to tell him what had happened. Kate then decided to call Rana to make sure she was definitely safe.
He was then followed by the doctors who were walking in the factory ruins and headed towards Sally (who was also in a deplorable state), and who told everyone that they knew in the world that they were in a bad state. factory had been found.
At first, Rana did not answer Kate's call, but she quickly called him back and told him that she was stuck in the rubble of the factory.

The rescuers were eventually able to go almost to Rana, but had to withdraw when the situation became dangerous. Kate, Jonny and Jenny stopped at the factory when the rest of the roof collapsed, with Rana still stuck inside.
In the second part of the dramatic double bill, Kate frantically attempted to have Rana answer.
"She went to get her bag, the rings were in. And the wishes, she was worried about finding it right," Kate told them in tears.
The rescuers were able to return to the factory to try to reach Rana, who was seriously injured during the second collapse.
She told them that Kate needed to know the truth, adding to Ali: "Tell him I may not be able to get out of it."

Imran caused a distraction so Kate could sneak into the factory and have a chance to see Rana again.
Kate entered the office and tried to comfort Rana while the paramedics were working with them.
While they were trying to tell her that they needed to get her to leave as soon as possible, Rana asked Kate if they could get married now "just in case."
Kate told her that she could not "wait to spend the rest of my life with you" and that she had "all my love, always".
Rana began to panic when she realized that she could not remember her wishes, telling Kate, "I do not want to leave you."

She remembered part of her wishes and the couple exchanged alliances before Rana died tragically.
