The Attorney General (AG) led Sedina Tamakloe Attionu, former general manager of the Center for Microfinance and Small Loans (MASLOC), to the Accra High Court for allegedly causing a financial loss exceeding 129 million Gh in the state.
Attionu was the CEO of MASLOC between November 2013 and January 2017.

Another MASLOC operations manager, Daniel Axim, is also facing the law.
The two people were charged with 80 counts of theft, deliberately causing financial losses to the state, money laundering, conspiracy, contravention of the law on public procurement among other charges.
The defendants are expected to appear before the criminal chamber of the High Court of Accra on February 4, 2019 to respond to the charges.

This is the case of the AG Attionu Tamakloe and Axim hijacked from November 2013 to January 2017 various sums representing the repayment of loans contracted with MASLOC.
According to the AG, the two people have repeatedly withdrawn from MASLOC funds higher than those approved by the MASLOC board of directors.
