The Nantes fans have recovered the spirit of the former number 9 Emiliano Sala after their team scored an opening goal in the ninth minute against Toulouse.

Sala was missing during a round trip flight between Nantes and his new club, Cardiff. His ex-club felt that Kalifa Coulibaly's 2-0 win was destined to take place.

Subtitling an image of Sala on his big screen, Nantes tweeted: "We obviously score in the ninth minute, of course."

Underwater robots are currently being used as part of the crashed body recovery mission that carried footballer Sala to begin his career in Cardiff.

Specialized underwater gear and sea scientists are used to evaluate the wreckage of the convicted aircraft at 220 feet deep on the Channel Seabed after its definitive discovery on Sunday.

Mr. Sala and pilot David Ibbotson were on board the light aircraft when it disappeared after leaving Nantes (France) on 21 January.

Official research ended after four days, but world-renowned marine scientist David Mearns launched a new research for families.

The plane is about 67m under the water.

The Air Accident Investigation Directorate (AAIB) confirmed Monday that a body had been detected in the aircraft by remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) scanning the site.

A spokesman for the AAIB said, "We are trying to recover the body. If we succeed, we will consider the possibility of recovering the wreckage of the aircraft.

"Strong tides mean that we can only use the remote-controlled vehicle for a limited period of time each day, which means that progress is slow.

"Whatever the results, we will not make any further statements until families have been informed."
