Former Premier League player John Barnes warned Wilfried Zaha that a move to Arsenal would not suit him as a player.

The star winger of Crystal Palace has been badociated with the transition to the Emirates Stadium in the window of summer transfers that is fast approaching.

But Barnes does not believe that a move to Arsenal would suit Zaha and believes that being at Crystal Palace allows him to make the most of his game.

Liverpool legend says that Zaha is an individual in his game and would not be allowed to operate in the same way at Arsenal.

Barnes said on beIN SPORTS Super Saturday: "I think the palace suits him, much like [Marko] Arnautovic in West Ham, he is a superstar of this team, he does what he wants.

"When he goes to a team where he has to adapt to his way of playing, he is a real individual player who must be, I think, in a club like Palace.

"He goes anywhere on the field, he tries everything, and they allow him to do it at the Palace.

"They will not allow him to do that to Arsenal ", Added Barnes.

Crystal Palace has Zaha, 26, under contract at Selhurst Park until the summer of 2023.

The winger has caught the attention of Roy Hodgson what remains to be done and it remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace will accept major auctions for its services in the summer.
