Bishop Charles Agyinasare, Chancellor of the University College of Perez, urged Ghanaians to support President Nana Akufo-Addo's free high school policy, which she calls "laudable".
The founder of Perez Chapel International said on Saturday, April 7, 2019, during a congregation of the University of Pomadze, in the central region, that the Free SHS policy was a frontal confrontation of Ghana's human resource development needs by President Akufo-Addo.
"The administration of President Akufo-Addo meets Ghana's human resource development needs with the implementation of the Free High High School program.
"I firmly believe that the Free SHS program is a laudable policy and that all Ghanaians must work hard to maintain it.
"As a country, we must look beyond politics and ensure that any policy designed to improve the lot of the future generation, regardless of which government initiated it, is well established and supported to help those who need it most. . And, obviously, the Free SHS policy is one of them. As a united country, let us help to smooth out all the asperities, if any, and make it the envy of the whole continent and the world, "said Bishop Agyinasare.

Ghana Beyond Aid: The Role of Private Higher Education
The role of private higher education in socio-economic development is crucial for the realization of the Ghana Beyond Aid program. The Ghana Beyond Aid Government Transformation Program requires the country to develop a dynamic human capital for its socio-economic activities. Without strong human capital, all other factors of production that enhance economic development may remain ineffective. Ghana needs an educated and skilled workforce. Indeed, not all of the government's socio-economic policies and interventions could have a significant impact if Ghana did not have an educated workforce – a highly skilled workforce able to provide the solutions needed for the problems of a technology-hungry company and entrepreneur-driven Ghana.
Various researchers have suggested that economic development resulted from increased productivity and structural change, which requires investment, job creation and technological progress. Education is an essential instrument for increasing productivity, structural change and economic freedom. Public tertiary institutions alone can not develop the human capital needed for Ghana's economic development and transformation.

In the near future, our high schools will generate thousands of candidates who could be vying for places in our universities. Private tertiary institutions must therefore position themselves to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the implementation of the Free SHS program.
