Zinedine Zidane insisted to speak James Rodriguez Real Madrid's future was not his concern among the claims the playmaker has no interest in staying.

James, 28, is linked to Naples and Atletico Madrid after returning to Santiago Bernabeu after a two-year loan to Bayern Munich.

Atletico's general manager, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, told ESPN Thursday that James did not want to continue in Madrid, any more than the giants of La Liga wished.

When asked about these comments, Zidane said that the future of Colombian international was not a concern for him.

"This is a case for the club," said the president at a press conference in the prospect of the Madrid Champions Cup clash against Atletico on Friday.

"It's something between them – the presidents – not me."

Zidane was apparently tired of answering questions about Gareth Bale, who is expected to leave the club, and announced the transfer target and Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

And although midfielder Marco Asensio is about to miss the season due to a serious knee injury, Zidane said nothing has changed with regards to the Madrid plans.

"We are working with the players here, we are thinking about the league's first game," he said.

"Nothing changes, I do not think about it, that will replace Marco, no, we are affected by the injury, but there is a match tomorrow, we'll see later."
