The Gaming Commission has indefinitely suspended sports betting company Safaribet Sports Betting.
A statement from the Gaming Commission urged the public not to do business with the betting company "until further notice".
"The Ghana Games Commission wishes to draw public attention to the fact that African Gaming and Entertainment, operating under the name SAFARIBET Sports Betting, can no longer operate games of chance in the country until the end of the year. at new order. It is therefore recommended to the general public not to make any form of bet on the SAFARIBET betting platform in any of their stores or branches, "added the statement published in the Tuesday edition of Daily Graphic Newspaper.
It is unclear what could have led to the regulator's latest directive.
He also warned customers who do not comply with the directive to do so at their own risk and that the Commission will not bear the cost of any commitment.
"Anyone who deals with SAFARIBET SPORTS BETTING does so at their own risk and the Commission can in no way be held responsible."
The Commission also warned that another company, LOLLIBET, was also operating illegally in the county.
He therefore advised the general public to refrain from dealing with society.
"The Gaming Commission of Ghana wishes to draw public attention to the fact that the betting lord, trading as LOLLIBET, has not been granted a gambling license. As such, LOLLIBET can not handle any game of chance in the country. It is therefore advisable for the general public not to make any form of bet on the LOLLIBET platform in any of their stores or branches.
