Nana Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, Minister of Information, said the regional decentralization of the national summit on national politics reflected the government's desire to strengthen democracy.

She stressed that the summit, along with other flagship programs, was an integral part of the ministry's strategic goal of ensuring responsive governance and citizen participation in the development dialogue.

It is also important to enhance the participation of civil society, including the media, traditional authorities and religious organizations in national development.

National Policy Summit

The Deputy Minister made the remarks at the Sixth National Policy Summit in Cape Coast, focusing on the fisheries and sanitation sectors.

According to her, the government will not rest but will double its series of public engagements with the citizens of the regions as part of the fundamental vision of bringing governance and development within the reach of ordinary people. .

She rebadured participants that the government would continue to adopt pragmatic programs and well-thought-out policies that transcend political and ethnic beliefs to ensure the pooling of all resources for accelerated national development.

Nana Asiamah-Adjei called on the actors of democracy to work closely with the government to obtain democratic references that are exemplary for the nations.

Nana Kobina Nketsia V, Omanhene of Essikado Traditional Zone, stressed the urgent need for the Government to provide tools, equipment and logistical means of sanitation to deal with the threat.

He also called for the harmonization of administrative structures and advocated close collaboration with the research and implementation of research results.
