The Omanhene of the traditional Kumawu zone, Barima Safo Tweneboah Kodua, urged the government to increase its purchases of Kantanka vehicles to allow the company to expand further and create more jobs.

He said that once this is done, the government could put in place a system that allows groups such as teachers and nurses, among others, to purchase the vehicles on a hire-purchase basis.

“I am impressed with what Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka has done and I am very happy about it and I think the government should support him in any way possible,” he said.

Barima Tweneboah Kodua said this at the 40th Kristo Asafo Tech Exhibition held last Sunday, December 27, 2020 in Accra.

The event has seen the exhibition of some vehicles and items manufactured by the group over the past 40 years.

It was on the theme: “Positioning the Church in Nation Building – Solving Societal Problems through Religion, Science and Technology”.

At the event, Kantanka Automobile presented a pickup vehicle to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) to bolster its fleet of vehicles.

Barima Tweneboah said Africans also have the creativity and knowledge to make good, and being black doesn’t mean they’re dumb.

The CEO of the Kantanka Group of Companies, Mr. Kwadwo Safo Jr., said that the company’s definition of the transformational mindset begins with the belief that anything can be achieved. ‘intention to do.

He said the company is proud to have come this far using science and technology to help build the country and the continent.

University of Health and Allied Sciences Vice Chancellor Professor John Gyapon, who chaired the event, said in the Church’s early years the relationship between her and science was more cohesive than today.
