Madame Justina Owusu-Banahene, the regional minister of Bono assured that the government would actively involve the traditional authorities in the national development process.

As the embodiment of the people, Ms. Owusu-Banahene noted that development could not proceed as planned if chiefs and queens were neglected, saying her administration would continue to seek advice from traditional rulers to build a better society.

The regional minister said this when she paid a courtesy visit to Barimah Kumi Acheaw II, the leader of Abesim, on Wednesday.

Some New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters, friends, acquaintances and sympathizers, as well as the various executive heads of municipalities and districts in the region welcomed the minister to the city on her return from Accra, after having successfully passed its ministerial conference. verification.

She also made similar calls and interacted with the Sunyani Traditional Council, and the chiefs of Atronia and told them that her administration could not do much without them and rallied their help and cooperation to motivate her to work hard to bring the region’s development to the next level.

The Bono region, Mad Owusu-Banahene observed, had enormous economic potentials which could be tapped and harnessed to further the development of the region.

She stressed the need for the people to move forward in unity and help identify and address relevant development challenges facing the region, and pledged to pursue an open door policy to receive constructive suggestions and criticism from the various political cleavages and from the population as a whole. .

For their part, the chiefs congratulated the regional minister on her appointment and promised to support her in achieving her vision for the region.

Barimah Acheaw II expressed hope that everyone in the region will support the regional minister and her administration to succeed.
