The government has taken the necessary steps to rebuild the 54-year-old, 19-kilometer Tema highway into a six-lane highway.
The highway was originally built to transform Tema into an industrial center of the newly independent nation and had not yet undergone any major renovation.
Mr. Kwasi Amoako Atta, Minister of Roads and Highways, announced it during a tour of some project sites in Accra with a team consisting of Mr. Anthony Karbo, one of his badistants and some agency directors of the ministry.
