The Grammys claim that Drake was "happy" with the acceptance speech, although he was cut halfway.

Although the Grammys celebrated diversity, the awards ceremony was a bit chaotic.

First, Donald Glover and Ariana Grande, two of the biggest winners of the evening, decided not to show up, the latter having already criticized the event.

Secondly, halfway through a thank-you speech about the useless rewards, Drake was cut by an untimely publicity break.

"We play in a sport of opinion, not factual sport," the artist told the public.

"The fact is that you have already won if you have people singing your songs word for word, if you are a hero in your hometown.

"If people in regular jobs come out in the rain and snow and spend money buying tickets for your concerts, you do not need that here. You have already won. "

As Darke began another sentence with the word "goal," the Grammy producers decided to switch to an advertisement, cutting his mic in the arena.

In a statement on behalf of the Grammys, Michael Samonte explained what happened.

"During Drake's speech, there was a natural pause and at that point, the producers badumed that he had finished and that he had then moved on to the commercial stage," he said.

"However, the producers spoke to Drake after his speech and offered to come back on stage to finish his thoughts. But Drake said that he was happy with what he had said and that he had nothing to add. "

Drake has not talked about the incident yet. Meanwhile, at the Grammys, the evening consisted of Kacey Musgraves, Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga all won. See the full list of winners here.
