A group known as Patriote Lawyers for Truth, Peace and Development (Ghana) called on President Akufo-Addo to arrest the investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas .

They explained that the president should order national security to arrest Anas, as the reporter would enrich him during his investigation.

The group added that Anas was not in charge of promoting the public good, as many Ghanaians have suggested.

In a statement, the group noted that Anas' strategies in gathering evidence of his work are unethical and inappropriate.

He also revealed reports that some former officials working for the John Mahama administration were allegedly filmed for corruption, but the documentary was never first shown.

Starrfm.com.gh reports that, for this reason, the group wondered if the video was not more relevant and was not published.
