Jason, you're up.

Ryan Turek, producer on the new Halloween movie, is no stranger to restarting old horror properties. And as far as we are concerned, Halloween was pretty successful. When asked by Comicbook.com (what a trick to Cinema Blend for taking the grand prize) with which franchise he would like to work to offer similar treatment, Turek did not hesitate to:

Without a doubt, Friday the 13th would be at the top of the list. Friday the 13th would be the franchise on which I would like to work next. Jason Blum shares the same pbadion. It is something that is unfortunately complicated. I mean, there are all kinds of things that are not happening [just] with the video game, but some legal stuff. But, if it happened to us, I mean I would be on the new cloud. It would be absolutely unbelievable to do. I feel a little smoother, because I think you have few promises to make for Friday the 13th. It's, you know, you have to have a summer camp. You must deliver on the advisors. You have to deliver Jason Voorhees.

Michael Myers, then Jason Vorhees. Turek has a weakness for masked murderers, huh? And these basic elements – a murderer, a summer camp – are quite flexible. You could do a lot with this formula. Hopefully Turek and Blum will have a chance.
