NEW YORK, March 4, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Enabled Sunday February 28, 2021 of Someone else 2 pm (EST), the Hip-Hop Museum Washington DC honored hip-hop legends Coke La Rock (Father of Rapping), Grand Wizzard Theodore (Inventor of SCRATCH, Fantastic 5, L-Brothers), Grandmaster Caz (Cold Crush Bros. & Wild Style), MC GLOBE (Soulsonic Force), and Johan Kugelberg (Cornell Hip-Hop Archives) with a private induction ceremony hosted by an actor Russell peters at the cradle of Hip-Hop located at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, Le Bronx, New York State.

The induction ceremony offered a virtual view to the public via social media platforms for fans on Instagram LIVE (HipHopMuseumDC) and Facebook (The Hip-Hop Museum Pop-Up Experience). “It’s important for the hip-hop community to witness history,” said Grandmaster Caz. “The ceremony not only took place in the Bronx, but it took place in the same room where the first Hip-Hop party took place in 1973, ”says Hip-hop publicist Lynn Hobson.
Inducted by Historian Jay quan, these legends were recognized for their contributions to culture in the same room where Hip-Hop was born. “I am honored to be a part of history and I appreciate the museum for recognizing my role in hip-hop,” said Grand Wizzard winner Theodore.
During the ceremony, the Hip-Hop Museum of Washington DC received a donation of the largest collection of rare vintage hip-hop flyers ever donated to a museum. All designed by the Boyfriend Esquire “ King of Hip-Hop Flyers ” deceased in 2014, this batch of 157 flyers comes directly from his personal archives and are in perfect condition. In the direction of Johan kugelberg who was Buddy’s friend and biographer, the legends took us into the past as they recalled some of the historic moments of early Hip-Hop.

Hip hop is a cultural and artistic movement created by African Americans, Latin Americans and the Caribbean Bronx, New York State City. Like any style of music, hip-hop has roots in other forms, and its evolution has been shaped by many different artists, but there is one case to be shown that it came to life precisely on Aug 11, 1973, during a birthday party in the recreation room of a building in Le Bronx. The location of this birthplace was 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, and the man who presided over this historic party was the birthday girl’s brother, Clive Campbell – known as DJ Kool Herc, founding father of the hip- hop and Coke La Rock, founding father of rap. Together, the two created Hip-Hop.
