Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, general overseer and presiding bishop of Action Chapel’s international ministry, says the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the resurrection, who brought Jesus out of the grave.
He noted that without the Holy Spirit, Jesus would not have come out of the grave.
He said that Christians must, therefore, be aware of the person of the Holy Spirit daily, saying, “It was the Holy Spirit who brought him (Jesus) back from the dead, therefore without him. Holy Spirit, you and I can’t survive. ”
“We are sealed with (the Holy Spirit) against the day of redemption, that means you and me, our resurrection is guaranteed by the Holy Spirit; we’re marked for the resurrection on this great first resurrection day, and if we’re not caught in the rapture, then it’s going to take the Holy Spirit to bring us back.
Archbishop Duncan-Williams said this when he delivered his Easter Sunday 2021 sermon, “Continue to be filled with the Holy Spirit,” to his congregation at Church headquarters in Accra.
“So this (the Holy Spirit) is a personality among the celestial body of the trinity that we cannot ignore or take for granted.”
The Archbishop emphasized the need to be filled by the Spirit, noting that many Christians were not guided by the Spirit because they were spiritually weak and not filled with the Holy Spirit.
“We don’t mature because we don’t pay attention to and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us.”
Archbishop Duncan-Williams said being filled with the Spirit would empower Christians to bypass everything, adding that “nothing offends you when you are filled with the Spirit.”
He said forgiving and forgetting was an act of the Holy Spirit, and without Him (the Holy Spirit) it was impossible to do, saying, “We cannot serve God through reasoning and emotions; the love of Christ is beyond all knowledge. ”
