Former President John Dramani Mahama
Former President John Mahama said that the problem in Ghana is the hypocrisy of "some opinion leaders" who once spoke very strongly about these issues, but who, suddenly, with a change of government, either remained silent, either speak now for the defense of the people. Without directly naming any names, Mr. Mahama was particularly unhappy with the "hypocrisy" of some opinion leaders (ostensibly against the President of the Peace Council) who did not condemn the violence. inflicted on unarmed members of the NDC, but begs him (Mahama) to apologize. for his comment "boot for boot".

Mahama said the peace in Ghana was very important to him, but warned that the NDC would not be taken for granted in future polls, as they would also be forced to defend their people.
"Hypocrite" clergy observing animals
This is not the first time that Mr. Mahama has reason to question the attitude of some opinion leaders and formerly noisy leaders since the change of government.

According to Mr. Mahama, recognizable voices in the country who are now turning to animal watching were pure hypocrisy, as they turn a deaf ear to issues being treated as burns under his administration.
Koku Ayidoho, then NDC deputy general secretary, suggested that Pastor Otabil be transferred to the zoo, which would serve him better.
