The iMac Luxo finds a new life as an iPad support

This iMac Luxo is retiring as an elegant iPad stand.

Flickr user Rusty took his expensive flat-screen iMac at 700 MHz and then spent some of that time trial and error that all do-it-yourselfers know well to cast the acrylic support to the arm. (The first tests, he notes, broke or were "weird".) He then added a pair of speakers in the base and a Bluetooth keyboard.

This support could very well match the Luxo lamp or the Mac Clbadic iPad stand for a desk space filled with retro-machining.
