NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) – Tennessee's elected governor, Bill Lee, spends his inauguration at a covered site, while rain and thunderstorms are announced over the weekend.
The Republican transition team said the event would be held Saturday at the War Memorial Auditorium in downtown Nashville. The ceremony was planned outside on the adjacent legislative square, where inaugurations have always taken place.
The 11 am Saturday event is free and open. Admission will be based on the capacity of the auditorium.
Lee is attending a number of events this weekend while he is sworn in to replace time – limited Republican Governor Bill Haslam.
