Having contributed immensely and energetically to the success of the Basic Education Certificate Examination for every student in Jomoro, the Coordinator of Municipal Education Examinations in Jomoro, Western Ghana, George Yakom, through the Director of Municipal Education, organized orientation for all candidates for the 2019 Basic Training Exam in private and public schools of Jomoro. The briefings that were organized by the seasonal examiners in the nine areas on how to answer the exam questions and also touched on the positive aspects of the examination according to the exam coordinator were entirely sponsored by the Municipal Assembly of Jomoro through the Municipal General Manager, Hon. . Ernest Kwofie.

In an exclusive interview with Francis A. Mensah in Jomoro, Yakom said, "The best preparation you can give students is to identify their problems and build a strong foundation for them."

He added that "students are our future leaders and that we must give them the best to increase their level of self-confidence by answering the questions of an exam without thinking of cheating in the exam room".

He took the opportunity to warn all BECE candidates to refrain from any action that could put their lives at risk, to finally turn their dreams away while at the same time encouraging them to stay firm and stay focused.

Questioning other contributions to the preparation of candidates for the BECE for 2019, the coordinator stated that the MP for Jomoro, the Hon. Paul Essien, as part of his contribution to improving the standard and performance of candidates, fully sponsored one of three simulations.

He added that "all potential supervisors and supervisors of the BECE 2019 were briefing and fully preparing for their efforts to act without intimidation". He took the opportunity, however, to warn everyone to refrain from any act that could attract candidates by focusing on the main reason for the examination.

Interviewing data on BECE 2019 in Jomoro, Yakom said that 93 schools were enrolled in the BECE 2019 and that 50 of these were public schools and 43 private schools. 2306 candidates have registered and should sit on the BECE 2019, of which 1183 are boys and 1124 are girls.

The total number of candidates in public schools is 1,491, including 767 boys and 724 girls.

The total number of applicants in private schools is 815, including 415 boys and 400 girls.

Until now, no pregnancy has been recorded.
As far as security is concerned, according to the coordinator, 9 policemen were deployed for that, 6 policemen would be in the 6 centers, 2 policemen would escort the examination officer and other people for the going-and- comes from the distribution of the examination papers and the other 1 would guide the filing.

He also seized the opportunity to wish all the 2019 candidates of the BECE in Jomoro a resounding success.

The examination of the certificate of basic education begins on Monday, June 10, 2019.
