The latest loan from Eddie Nketiah transferred to Augsburg and the Arsenal plans for youth this season

Eddie Nketiah is expected to remain an Arsenal player when the transfer window closes tonight after the bankruptcy of a loan contracted in Augsburg.

The Bundesliga was waiting to take Nketiah on a temporary basis until the end of the season, but an agreement collapsed in the last few hours.

Augsburg has appointed former goalkeeper and Arsenal coach, Jens Lehmann, earlier this week. It is believed that the German offered his support during the transfer of Nketiah.

As football.londres Revealed earlier this month, Arsenal told the championship clubs that they would not agree to send Nketiah or Joe Willock in second place. It now seems certain that the first of them will remain with the Gunners for the moment.

Arsenal should probably reconsider Nketiah's future this summer. Loan manager Ben Knapper is expected to play a leading role in the Gunners' approach to sending their best hopes when he takes office next month.

Nketiah had a hard time qualifying for Arsenal this season, playing only five games for the first team in all competitions. At 19, he continued to shine in youth, scoring seven goals in nine games.

Although Nketiah is likely to stay at the Gunners this month, another of Arsenal's brightest young stars, Emile Smith Rowe, is expected to join Reiss Nelson in the Bundesliga. The playmaker started his medical examination at RB Leipzig and the agreement should be finalized by 17h UK time.

The loan agreement will not allow RB Leipzig to buy the 18-year-old player. However, if Smith Rowe impresses in Germany and does not get a guarantee of playing time at Arsenal, the loan could be extended by another 12 months.
