The lions lead the African savannah in The Lion King, which hosts Donald Glover (Atlanta, Solo: A Star Wars Story) as the future King Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter (Dreamgirls' visual album, Lemonade) as the "King". loving interest turned into love by Simba, Nala, and James Earl Jones (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Field of Dreams) as Simba's wise and loving father, Mufasa, resuming his iconic performance of Disney's animated clbadic in 1994. Chiwetel Ejiofor (Twelve-year-old slave, Dr. Strange of Marvel Studios) was invited to portray Scar, the evil uncle of Simba, and Alfre Woodard (Juanita, Luke Cage of Marvel) represent Sarabi. JD McCrary (The Paynes, Apple's Vital Signs, by Tyler Perry at OWN) fills the skin of Young Simba, a confident little man who can not wait to be king, and Shahadi Wright Joseph (NBC's Hairspray Live) , the Lion King of Broadway) brings a tough young Nala to life.

Directed by Jon Favreau (The Jungle Book), the movie The Lion King features a cast of voice including Donald Glover (Solo: A Star Wars Story) as Simba, Beyonce (Dreamgirls) as Nala , Billy Eichner (Billy on the street) as Timon, Seth Rogen (Sausage Party) as Pumbaa, John Oliver (last week tonight) in Zazu, Chiwetel Ejiofor (Doctor Strange) in Scar, James Earl Jones (The Lion King) in Mufasa, Alfre Woodard (Luke Cage) in Sarabi, John Kani (Black Panther) as Rafiki, JD McCrary (Vital Signs) as a young Simba, Joseph Shahadi Wright (Hairspray Live) as young Nala, Eric André (Man looking for a woman) in Azizi, Florence Kasumba (Black Panther) as Shenzi, Keegan-Michael Key (The Predator) as Kamari and Amy Sedaris (BoJack Horseman) as new character.
