Liverpool badistant coach Pep Lijnders said his party would give Mohamed Salah a central role this season.
The Egyptian stormed the Premier League last quarter leading the goals standings on the right of a three striker.
He was deployed more often at the top of a 4-2-3-1 system during this campaign, Roberto Firmino becoming No.10.
Klopp and Lijnders made the decision to transform Salah by attacking in order to give a "free role" to the Brazilian.
And he worked with Liverpool firmly in the title photo after an excellent campaign so far.
"First of all, Mo has the ability to create from within. This differentiates it from many others of its type. He's a real goalscorer, "he told Goal.
"So if we put him in the bottom row as high as possible, with the speed he's got, the goal threat that he has, that allows us to create a freer role for Bobby."
"[It was important] that we could create a free player more easily, that we could find it more easily. From there, we would have better moves to attack their last line.
"For Mo, it's really good to understand the game in this way, to make it essential. For him it is great. He is closer to the goal, he can use his speed more, he is more where we want him to be. It's a natural development for him.
Lijnders left Liverpool for his first management position at NEC in the Netherlands, but returned to Anfield after Zeljko Buvac left.
Liverpool will be the next player in the Champions League against Bayern Munich next week.
