The Liverpool team revealed for the clash between Man Utd and Jurgen Klopp making changes

Virgil Van Dijk will return from the European suspension as Liverpool travels to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the North West Derby.

The center back missed the Champions League scoreless draw with Bayern Munich midweek, but returns to reinforce a missing back-line, Dejan Lovren (hamstring) and Joe Gomez (broken leg ).

Rhian Brewster (ankle) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) both progress after long-lasting injuries, but none of them are ready to return this weekend.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be named permanent director of Manchester United ahead of the weekend's clash between the two northwestern giants.

Solskjaer has won 11 of his 13 matches since becoming the club's interim leader after Jose Mourinho's dismissal in mid-December, with defeat only 2-0 against Paris St Germain in the Champions League.

Klopp said: "He has quality and he was lucky at the right time."

"He is at the helm and there is no doubt that he will also be the director next year, it is clear.

"Can you imagine a situation when they say 'we have another coach come in?' Then a new manager loses a match and that is not possible.

"He deserves (work) 100%, he has done everything you have to do to succeed with them."
