Member of Parliament NDC [MP] For Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini refuted claims that his party had chosen the "Great Wall of China" style of the Madina-Adentan Highway bridge project.

In an interview with NEAT FM Inusah Fuseini, Ghana's morning show, said the project had been approved by the government led by ex-president John Agyekum Kufuor.

"It was so beautiful then [NDC] did not change it, " he said.

One of the bridge projects for Madina-Adentan highways, which began in November 2018, has been completed.

Some pedestrians started using the bridge to cross the highway.

Pedestrians use the bridge at the intersection of Seventh Day Adventists (SDA) while workers at First Sky Limited, the project company, actively open the front view and sidewalk of the completed bridge, while others apply the final coating on the metal balustrades.

The six gateways to the different places; Firestone, the Madina-Zongo, Redco Junction, Ritz Junction, SDA Junction and WASS junctions were at various stages of completion.

An opportunity to exercise

Some residents of Adentan, a suburb of Accra, complained about the hostile nature of the bridge, saying that it took a lot of time and effort to cross it.

However, the MP for Tamale Central believes that the gateway, to the extent that it is suitable for people with disabilities, would also help improve the health of Ghanaians, especially residents of the community.

He urged pedestrians to stop criticizing the project, to praise the government and to consider the bridge as an opportunity to exercise.
