It goes without saying that politicians have a habit of giving their constituents promises, but not fulfilling their commitments once in power.

Some of the promises include better health services, employment opportunities and improvements in infrastructure such as good roads.

However, most of them do not keep their promises, leaving the voters a lot deprived of their rights.

It is because of these disappointments that some citizens decide to make themselves some of the promises made by politicians.

Nicholas Muchemi Kamau from Kaganda village in Kenya is no exception, YEN.com.gh came to learn.

The hard-working man recently touched a lot of hearts after taking help helping the locals by carving a road through a hill on his own to allow people to move from one point to another without too much trouble.

YEN.com.gh learned that Muchemi had undertaken the difficult task of "creating" the road after a neighbor had closed a pedestrian path crossing his farm and used by locals.

According to another resident identified as Philip Kinyungu Nyambura, one of the first to have posted this man's photos on social media, the philanthropic villager spent about a week digging a kilometer down a hilly road.

Phillip added that Muchemi thought it was wise to create the road after the residents complained of having used a longer route to get to their destination.

YEN.com.gh understands that the man works as a guardian at Kaganda Primary School.
