One man shared the "hilarious" cleaning rules required by his Airbnb host, which included meticulously removing all water droplets left after the shower.

Over the weekend, Ian Hickton was staying as a guest at Airbnb when he found a list of specific rules for the bathroom.

According to Hickton, who shared the list on Twitter, it reminded him of the League of Men Harvey and Val characters, who are known to have a set of strict rules at their homes in place to confuse guests.

"The rules of the house of an Airbnb where I stayed last night," tweeted Hickton. "Is this League of Men Do you have inspiration for Harvey and Val?

The list begins with a minor request, asking guests to "do their best to use the sink without splashing the mirror".

However, in addition to preserving the mirror from all traces of water, the owner also asks clients to follow detailed instructions regarding showering and toilet use.

"Before taking a shower, please put the provided floor mat on the floor," says the list. "When finished, put it back on the radiator to dry. If you are likely to splash the floor when using the sink, please do the same when using it.

"After taking a shower, use the squeegee provided to remove any water on the glbad, tile and window of the first floor bathroom.

"When you're done with the squeegee, please use the towel you find in the bathroom to finish drying out the inside of the shower."

The Airbnb host also indicates his / her preferences regarding the treatment of the toilets by the customers, in particular the use of a toilet brush obligatory.

"The use of the toilet brush is not optional," says the regulation, stating that the purpose of the brush is to "remove all signs of pbadage, whatever their color, from the inside of the toilet ( above and below the waterline), the toilet rim and the underside of the toilet seat. "

The last rule in the list, before ending with a reminder to make sure the bathroom floor is dry, asks guests to take one seat at a time for number one and number two.

On Twitter, the list sparked some fun, with some suggesting that the rules are a red flag.

"I wonder how violations are punished," wrote one person.

Another said, "Leave no trace of your pbadage" As it is sinister !? "

Although Airbnb does not need it, the company recommends that guests include a cleaning fee in the cleaning service price after each reservation, so that each guest goes to "the clean and tidy space that he sees in the pictures of his ad ».

According to Airbnb, guests with consistently low cleanliness ratings may be subject to penalties.

The company does not specify which sanctions, if any, may be applied to customers who do not comply with the rules of cleanliness.
