A man whose erection lasted two days developed gangrene and had to be amputated the tip of his penis.
The extraordinary case of this 52-year-old Indian, unnamed, was published in a medical journal.
The doctors revealed that the man was the first to go there in the hospital because he could not get rid of a "painful and sustained" erection.
When the doctors drained the blood, they left a catheter inside and he quickly developed black gangrene on the head of his penis.
The 52-year-old unidentified patient first went to a medical center in northern India because he had a painful erection that did not go away. was not going. But after four days, his penis had been amputated, revealed his doctors in BMJ Case Reports (picture in stock).

The man was treated at King George Medical University in Lucknow, about 310 km southeast of New Delhi.

He had been in pain for 48 hours before going to a medical center.
We do not know what triggered his priapism. The erection lasts more than two hours and is considered a medical emergency.
